EORI Code (imports/exports)
If your company is involved into international trading (imports/exports) of merchandise, you must have and use the EORI number as an identification code in all customs procedures in order to facilitate and expedite the exchange of information between different customs offices through which the goods will enter, leave, transit and / or will be stored.
What is the EORI code?
EORI stands for “Economic Operators Registration and Identification Number". This system was established for customs authorities to report on the flow of goods between the countries of the European Community and third-countries (outside the EU).
The EORI code is your company's identifier before the customs authorities and its a unique number valid throughout the European Union. The EORI code is awarded once.
What does the service include?
- We review commercial details of your company with you,
- Submit the application on your behalf,
- Get your EORI number within 1-3 business days.
Does my company needs a EORI code?
The EORI code is mandatory for those companies established in the European Union, like Estonia, and operates in the movement of goods from and to third countries (outside the EU). Your company must inform the EORI system when conducting its business outside the European Union and plans to export or import goods.
Important: Only the Tax Office is authorized to issue an EORI number, therefore obtaining the registration is at discretion of the Estonian authorities.
